5 Mouth-Watering Watermelon Drinks
Watermelon is the perfect summer fruit. It's light, crisp, and refreshing - which is why we thought it would be so fun to create some new watermelon drinks! Every one of these five recipes is packed with watermelon and accompanied by other fresh summer flavors that we thought paired perfectly with the mouth-watering melon. There's something for everyone and you can always make adjustments to appease your taste buds.
Layered Watermelon Smoothie
Watermelon rind, green grapes & chia seeds contribute to the green layer while watermelon and frozen strawberries make a delicious red layer in this festive smoothie!
Green Layer
- 1 cup watermelon rind, peeled
- 1 cup green grapes, frozen
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 ½ tsp agave, or sweetener of choice to taste
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
Red Layer
- 2 cups watermelon
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 ½ tsp agave, or sweetener of choice to taste

Watermelon-Cucumber Slushie
Need a light, cold refresher? Try this sweet watermelon cucumber slushie!
- 3 cups watermelon, frozen (thawed for about 20 minutes)
- ½ medium cucumber, peeled
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp agave, or sweetener of choice to taste
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups ice cubes
