Mint Lemonade

Mint Lemonade
There are few things that say summertime like a refreshing glass of ice-cold lemonade. Of all the different kinds of lemonade I love, Mint Lemonade is definitely one of my favorites. The first house I moved into after getting married was a cottage on the property of a reception center. Not long after moving, I began working at the reception center part-time. During warm summer months, one our most popular drinks was Mint Lemonade. I’ll admit to being a little hesitant at the idea of blending actual mint leaves in any kind of drink. But I soon learned that the mint adds just the right touch for an even fresher, tastier experience. Not only will this completely quench your thirst, but it will also leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated. Simply grab the following ingredients as well as your trusty Blendtec, and you will be enjoying an ice-cold, slushy drink in seconds! Mint Lemonade

Mint Lemonade

Ingredients

3–6 mint leaves (depending on how strong you like your mint flavor) 7 tbsp lemonade mix 24 ice cubes (basically fill ¾ of your jar with ice) 2 cups water

Directions

  1. Put all the ingredients in your Blendtec and secure lid.
  2. Pulse for 30 seconds.
It should be nice and slushy, though you can add more water if it’s too slushy for your liking. You can also replace the lemonade mix with hand-squeezed lemon juice and a sweetener for a more natural experience.   About the Author If you want some more yummy recipes from my sisters and me, check out our blog, Double The Batch.
